Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish
Gather the ingredients - * Puff pastry * Strawberries * Vanilla extract * Cream cheese * Sugar
In a small bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, and vanilla.
– Cut each sheet of puff pastry into 8 rectangles. – Using a small paring knife, create a 1/2" border around the edge of each piece of puff pastry. – Poke the center square of the puff pastry a few times with a fork.
– In another bowl, stir together sugar, chopped strawberries, and lemon juice. – Divide the cream cheese mixture between the pieces of puff pastry, making sure to only fill within the border. – Spoon the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Enjoy warm or at room temperature. Store any leftover danishes in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
