Gather the ingredients - * Yellow cake mix (+ oil, eggs, etc - listed on the back of box) * Instant vanilla pudding * Milk * Crushed pineapple * Whipped topping
Prepare cake batter according to the directions on the packaging.
Pour into prepared baking dish and bake.
Once the cake has finished baking, remove from oven and poke the surface with a skewer or chopstick.
Whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix with the milk and 1/2 cup reserved pineapple juice.
Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the warm cake.
Allow the cake to cool completely, then spread the whipped topping over the cake, followed by the crushed pineapple.
Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
