Chocolate cake with pecans, coconut, and cream cheese
Gather the ingredients - * Chocolate cake mix * Coconut * Pecans * Cream cheese * Butter * Eggs * Oil * Powdered sugar * Chocolate chips
In a large mixing bowl, prepare cake mix as directed on package, set aside.
In a separate medium bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy, then slowly incorporate the powdered sugar.
Sprinkle coconut and pecans into the bottom of the prepared 9"x13" dish.
Pour cake batter over the top.
Add dollops of the cream cheese mixture to the top of the cake then use a butter knife to swirl the cream cheese with the cake batter.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the cake.
Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Allow to cool before slicing and serving with a scoop of ice cream, if desired.
