Gather the ingredients - * Dark chocolate * Heavy cream * Vanilla extract * Toppings - cocoa powder, chopped pecans, chocolate sprinkles, etc)
Chop chocolate into small pieces and add to a large bowl.
– Heat the cream until steaming, then pour it over the chocolate in the bowl and allow to sit for about 2 minutes. – Stir until the chocolate mixture is smooth.
– Cover and then transfer to the fridge. Allow to chill at least 2 hours. – Using a 1" cookie scoop, scoop the mixture and then place it onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat until the chocolate mixture is gone.
(Optional) Roll each truffle in cocoa powder, sprinkles, or chopped pecans and then place back onto the lined sheet pan.
Place back into the fridge until ready to serve.
