Chocolate Blossom Cookies

Gather the ingredients - * Butter * Brown sugar * Egg * Vanilla extract * Flour * Cocoa powder * Baking soda * Hershey kisses

– Add the softened butter and brown sugar to the  bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.  Beat on medium  speed until light and fluffy. – Next, add the egg and vanilla and mix to combine.

With the mixer on low speed, add the flour, cocoa powder, and baking  soda slowly.  Mix just until the dry ingredients are fully combined.

Scoop 1 tablespoon sized balls onto the parchment lined baking sheet, making sure to place them at least 2" apart.

– Bake for 12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft. – Immediately  when the cookies come out of the oven, place a Hershey kiss into the  center.

– Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool. – Store any leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
