Instant Pot Creamed Corn

With the holidays right around the corner, I am in full side dish mode.  As I try to figure out new an exciting recipes to serve, I am also trying to figure out how to make the classics easier and faster so that I can enjoy spending time with family instead of being in the kitchen all day.  Instant Pot creamed corn definitely is all about having one less pan on the stovetop as it is cooked in the Instant Pot and needs very little intervention from me which really made it perfect!

What can I serve creamed corn with?

Creamed corn can either be served as a holiday dish or as a regular side dish for a weeknight dinner.  Some of my favorite things to serve it with include –

  • Slow Cooker Turkey Breast
  • Honey Glazed Ham
  • Smoked Chicken Breasts
  • Smoked Pork Loin

What can I top creamed corn with?

Some of my favorite toppings for creamed corn include –

  • Bacon
  • Chives
  • Parsley
  • Black Pepper
  • Parmesan

Can I use fresh corn?

Yes.  Use 4 ears of fresh corn instead of 1 pound of frozen corn for this recipe.

Can I make creamed corn ahead of time?

Yes.  Once it has cooled to room temperature, transfer it to the refrigerator until you are ready to eat it.  Warm it up using the WARM or SAUTE function on the Instant Pot or oven the stovetop.

Instant Pot Creamed Corn

Instant Pot Creamed Corn - A quick and easy side dish that's perfect for the holidays. All you need is your Instant Pot and 7 simple ingredients.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 4 minutes
Additional Time 10 minutes
Total Time 19 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen corn
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 ounces milk
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup parmesan (grated)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients into an Instant Pot and seal. Set timer to 4 minutes on manual (HIGH pressure).
  2. Once the timer goes off, do a quick release. Once the Instant Pot has depressurized, open it up and set it to SAUTE mode. Give everything a stir and cook until the sauce has thickened up and melted together.
  3. Serve immediatly.
