Honey Almond Oatmeal – A delicious and simple breakfast recipe made with oats, milk, Greek Gods Honey Yogurt, MaraNatha Almond Butter, and blueberries!

With new years right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about recipes that help you start the day off on the right foot.  One of my favorite snacks to eat is Greek Gods Greek-Style Yogurt! I first had it about 7 years ago and I have been hooked ever since! My favorite flavor is the honey and I wanted to incorporate it into a breakfast recipe that would be a filling and delicious way to start the day.

I decided to whip up a honey almond overnight oatmeal as my simple breakfast recipe that I could whip up the night before and just eat right in the morning! All you have to do is combine oats, milk, honey yogurt, and almond butter overnight in a mason jar and then in the morning, pop it into a bowl and top with with some fresh blueberries and sliced almonds for even more texture and flavor.

To get everything I needed for this recipe, I popped over to my local Walmart! I grabbed a container of Greek Gods Greek-Style Yogurt, found in the yogurt section of the dairy aisle, on the lower shelf.  Additionally, I picked up a jar of MaraNatha Almond Butter from the jam and spreads department.

This recipe can also be turned into a stovetop oatmeal recipe if you want to make it for a bigger crowd.  If you choose to do that instead, you will need to follow the instructions on the packaging for the specific type of oats you are using such as old-fashioned, steel-cut, or quick oats as the amount of liquid and time needed to cook will vary with how many servings you need.  Once done, serve topped with about 1/3 cup Greek Gods Honey Yogurt, 1/4 cup MaraNatha Almond Butter, blueberries, and almonds.

Something I love about Greek Gods Greek-Style Yogurt is that each serving has 9g of protein. It is also an excellent source of calcium and has seven different live and active cultures. The Greek Gods Brand products are not only rich, smooth and delicious; they are gluten-free and contain live and active cultures. Plus, The Greek Gods brand Greek-Style Yogurt are non-GMO, and made with milk from cows that are not treated with growth hormones.  Plus, it is SO delicious and I’ve never had a flavor that I haven’t loved!
