Is it just me or can it be really tough to stay focused and eat enough healthy meals? I feel like that is something I really struggle with, I will get to 5 pm and start digging through the fridge to try to figure out what to eat and then end up settling on a frozen pizza that is just horrible for me! I decided I wanted to spend some time and try to create some new, healthy habits going into the holiday season this year! The first thing I wanted to do was create a printable to keep organized and on track with my meals! With a spot for each day of the week, I can put my meal ideas right in there and then fill in the grocery list on the right side! I brought it with me to the store last week and it was so helpful to make sure I had all of the ingredients I needed to make my new, healthy meals!

So how I am using this printable to get healthy is by sitting down and scrolling through Pinterest to look for inspiring meals that are also great for me! Starting with breakfast I wanted to make a batch of Strawberries and Cream Oatmeal that you can make ahead of time and heat up every morning with lots of fresh strawberries on top. For lunch, I was looking for lunch ideas that would give me a mid-day boost and so I looked towards quinoa bowls! I settled on a Balsamic Zucchini and Veggies Quinoa Bowl that was not only tasty, but super filling! I would have it with a bottle of smartwater to keep hydrated! That was another meal that I could make over the weekend and just head up when it was time for lunch each day! For dinner, I planned to have my Healthy Choice Power Bowls and on the remaining nights a simple kale salad along with a banana smoothie! Oh plus, for snack I made Apple Pie Energy Bites filled with superfoods such as chia seeds and almond butter!
When you are a healthy meal plan for the week, make sure to
- Eat your veggies! I know, most of the time that can be the least exciting bit of a meal but making it the highlight! Adding a bit of seasonings can make all of the difference!
- Eat breakfast every day! Don’t skip it, starting the day off full and focused is important!
- Drink enough water! Staying hydrated is a must!
- Proper portion sizes!
- Make sure you have enough protein in your diet!
