We are BIG cheesecake fans at my house. Whether it is a new york style cheesecake, no bake cheesecake, or even cheesecake mousse, it will be a huge hit. One of our favorite cheesecake recipes are these cheesecake bars. I make them for every christmas cookie tray during the holidays!
The recipe makes about 12 servings and they last about 2-3 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Start to finish, you need about 40 minutes.
These cheesecake bars are so amazing! The bottom is a sugar cookie crust and then it is topped with cheesecake filling and crumb topping. Really, it doesn’t get any better than that.

Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 16 ounces cream cheese
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter with brown sugar until light and fluffy - about 2 minutes.
- Add in walnuts and flour and mix until the dough comes together.
- Transfer all but 1/2 cup to the bottom of a 9x13" pan and press it evenly on the bottom. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until it has lightly browned.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add in eggs, milk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Beat until combined.
- Spread cheesecake filling on top of the crust and sprinkle the crumb topping on top. Bake for 25 minutes.
- Cool before cutting the bars.
